Potato Roast

Photography in the North American winters can be a challenge. On most days the sun naps most day painting the clouds gray. On other days it’s super bright and shines a harsh light that again need to be diffused for food to look palatable in your frames.

Yesterday  the Sun played around and gave me both harsh and soft light for these clicks. Captures of a simple baby potato roast in different lights.  Which do you like ?

Recipe
Microwave 3 cups of baby potatoes for 3 minutes
Prick with a fork
In a pan, heat 3 tbsp of oil on low heat
Let splutter
1 tsp each of Jeera (Cumin seeds)
1 tsp of Mustard
Roast the potatoes adding
1 tsp salt
1/3 tsp turmeric till golden
Add
Few curry leaves
1 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli powder
1 tbsp Rasam Powder
Continue to roast for 3 minutes for spices to get absorbed
Sprinkle 1/3 tsp Asafoetida

Serve as a side dish with any cuisine!
