And they have a display of bananas, which are not bananas but called plantains and are more like a potato pretending to be a banana.

Spicy Plantains Wedges
Serve with a melange as an accompaniment, or as a starter.
Prep
Combine with 3/4 cup water to make a thick paste
1 tsp salt
3 tsp Kashmiri Chilli powder
4 heaped tsp Daniya (Coriander) powder
2 tsp Saunf ( Fennel) powder
1/3 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp tamarind paste
Peel and cut 3 medium plantains into 1/2 cm thick wedges. Keep soaked in water till use – otherwise they will get discolored.
Dip individually into the masala paste so that they are well coated.
Place in an air fryer in a single layer. Spray oil.
Cook at 380°F* for 10 minutes, flipping the pieces over after minute 5.
At minute 8 add some curry leaves and sprinkle 1/2 tsp Asafoetida.
*I use as Cosori 5.8 qt Air Fryer. Depending on the model, time may need to adjusted by a couple minutes.
