Busy Day and need some comfort food that’s quick and delicious?
Try this one shot Rasam Sadam (Rice)
Soak 3 tbsp Thu dal in hot water for 30 mts
In a Pressure Cooker or Instant Pot
Add
1 cup Tomatoes
1 to 2 green Chillis
Few Curry Leaves
2 tsp Rasam Podi
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1.5 tsp Salt
1 cup Rice
Drained Dal
1 heaped tsp Tamarind pulp
5 cups water
Stir well
Cook
4 whistles in Cooker
or 12 mts in Instant Pot
Open when pressure settles
Mash gently
Add 3 tbsp Cilantro
1/2 tsp Asafoetida
Tadka Cube ( link in Bio)
Add another half to one cup water depending on consistency you want it to be.
Adjust Salt
Enjoy with Apalam (Papad) !
