Bread Gulab Jamuns

Boil together
1 cup Sugar
1.5 cups Water
3 to4 crushes Cardamom pods
1 pinch of Saffron
Till sticky

Add 1 tbsp Lime Juice to stop further crystallization of sugar.
Let rest

Mix into a dough
6 large  slices  Bread
2 tbsp Warm Milk
1 to 2 tbsp Cream
Pinch of Saffron
1/4 tsp Baking Soda

Note –
Add the cream 1/2 teaspoon by  1/2 teaspoon.
Depending on the texture of the bread you many need a bit less or more.
Don’t make the dough soggy.
If it becomes a bit soggy, add another 1/4 slice of bread … no worries πŸ™‚πŸ™ƒ

Let rest 10 mts

Grease palms with oil
Shape into a balls
Embed a raisin in it πŸ˜ƒ

Deep fry at low heat till golden
Do not get tempted to fry at medium or high heat, because the outside will brown and the inside won’t cook in this case πŸ™ƒπŸ™‚

Soak in warm syrup for 2 to 3 hrs
