There are times when breakfast seems the one thing worth getting up for.~ Peter De Vries

Nothing like waking up to delicious spongy idlis on the weekends! One of the must have accompaniments ( especially for my son) for idli is Molaga podi, also dubbed gunpowder 😄 because of its firey taste.

Recipe
Saute till golden
1 cup Urud Dal
1 cup Channa Dal
1/2 cup Dried Red Chillis
1/2 cup Kashmiri Chillis
1 heaped Tbsp Sesame seeds
Add
1 tsp Asafoetida
2 tbsp Salt
Powder coarsely and store in an air tight container.

Mix with a generous dollop of sesame oil.
Enjoy with hot idlis !
