A Sambar story on a busy day.
Vital to my quick daily cooking in the USA is prepping!
Every couple months, I prep and store essentials for Indian cooking, in this case – Thur dal, Tamarind paste, Sambar Masala, and Tadka. I buy a lot of vegetables precut, or cut and freeze them.
This then makes almost everything a combine and steam or pressure cook affair. It still tastes fresh. It still tastes great !
